Reading Progress Monitoring
Progress Monitoring for SOME - Formative assessment used with students who may be at risk and/or are receiving interventions in order to:
Curriculum-Based Measurement (ex. AIMsWeb) and Computer-Adaptive Testing (ex.STAR Reading) are used to answer the question:
Mastery Measurement (ex. assessments that are part of an intervention program, TenMarks) are used to answer the questions:
- Determine student progress
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness
Curriculum-Based Measurement (ex. AIMsWeb) and Computer-Adaptive Testing (ex.STAR Reading) are used to answer the question:
- Is learning the skill this way increasing the student’s achievement in this area?
Mastery Measurement (ex. assessments that are part of an intervention program, TenMarks) are used to answer the questions:
- Did the student learn the specific skill or is re-teaching needed?
- What are next steps?
