Reading
All students are screened with AIMSWeb (Grades K-1) or STAR Reading (Grades 2-5) three times a year.  Grade level teams meet on designated "Data Days" to analyze the screening data.  They ensure the effectiveness of the core instruction by reviewing screening results.  The goal is that at least 80 % of the students at a grade level score at proficiency (50th %ile or above on STAR Reading or designated cut scores as recommended by AIMSWeb).    Teams also use this screening data and additional diagnostic data to identify  and determine the needs of students who may be at risk in the area of reading.
