Tier 2

Targeted Interventions (some students)
When students do not respond to The Core (Tier 1) instruction and supports they may need a Tier 2 or targeted intervention. These interventions include:
  • increasing positive interactions with adults
  • reteaching expected behaviors with additional practice
  • teaching a new skill or response
  • modifying the environment
  • monitoring, evaluating and reassessing
Check in Check out is a common Tier 2 intervention used in our schools.
